FEATURE: Take a Buck Home for Christmas
A big buck is by default old and smart. Every bush, tree, rock, and cactus is indelibly etched into its memory, and it will immediately notice anything out of place. In addition, most mature bucks are difficult if not impossible to draw to bait. The older a buck gets, the more nocturnal it usually becomes, and the more likely it is to avoid feeders. It will spend most of its days in its nest deep in some thicket, where it feels safe and secure. This means that you have to hunt it on its terms. S
