First, you must register to post your photos. After you register, log in to the page with the information provided in the confirmation email you receive.
After you log in, click the “Posts” link at the top of the left column. Then click “Add New.”
You are now on the “compose” page. In the Title bar, enter a title for your photo. We recommend the format NAME – SPECIES – LOCATION.
In the main compose window, enter a description of your photo.
Example: John Doe caught his first bass while fishing with his Uncle Tom at Lake fork.
Enter at least one extra “Enter” or “Return” at the end of your description paragraph.
Now to upload your photo: just above the compose window, to the right of “Upload / Insert”, click on the “Upload/Insert” icon .
In the “Add media files from your computer” window, click the “Select Files” button, or drag the image from your computer directory into the drop-box area .
If using the “Select Files” option, in the file selection popup window, navigate to your photo’s location on your computer, select it, and click “Open.” NOTE: The photo must be a JPG, GIF, or PNG image file. ZIP, PDF, or other file types will not work.
After the photo uploads, in the “Add an Image” window scroll down to “Alignment” and select Left, Center, or Right (Left recommended).
Select a size (Medium recommended).
Now click “Inset Into Post.”
When the “Add and Image” window closes and returns to the compose page, double-check your text for accuracy and correct spelling of names. (Note: The layout of the text and its relationship to the photo will look different in the published version.) When you are satisfied with your submission, click the blue “Submit for Review” button at the top-right of the page. Wait for the “Status” above the button to change from “Draft” to “Pending Review.”
That’s it. One of our editors will review your post (editing it as necessary) and publish it.
