Luke George Davis, age 4, of Southlake caught his first redfish on live shrimp in Salt Lake at Rockport while visiting with his grandparents during spring break 2012. Luke is a pretty intense fisherman!

Was pitching jigs for bass when I caught this 60″ 40+ lb gar. She towed the kayak around the lake.

Courtney Politz of Cypress, TX caught & landed this awesome trout while fishing with her boyfriend Bobby Lullo in West Bay of Galveston. Measuring 31.25″ and weighing in at 9lbs, the trout inhaled a live shrimp under a popping cork. As you can tell from the picture, she’s been ear to ear smiles ever since.

Hunter Shultz (age 10) of Sugar Land lived up to his name when he shot this trophy 12 pointer with a 7mm-08 in Jim Hogg County. The buck scored 150 even. He was hunting with his grandpa Martin Ruffeno.

Connor Ward of Simonton, Texas shot his first buck using a Remington .243. Connor killed his buck at 110 yards with one fatal shot! Way to go Connor!

Andrew Vallejo, age 7 from San Antonio, caught his first redfish - a throw back – in the landcut. He outfished his dad 5 to 1.

Matthew Mandes 11, with his 1st flounder caught in Port Isabel, southeast of Gaswell Flats. He was fishing with his mom & dad, Ray & Roni Mandes.

It was a great 12th birthday for Brayden McKnight fishing with his good buddy Toby Nguyen near Chinquapin, Tx.

David Waugh struggles to hold up a 57.68-pound paddlefish he caught last spring on the Sabine River near Carthage, TX.

While fishing for white bass he accidentally snagged her, and with help from his good friend, Justin Bourgeois, they managed to land and weigh her, and get a picture to boot.

As paddlefish are a protected species here in Texas, she was released after minimal handling and swam away strong.

Chris Rowan, who lives in Brownsville, Texas, caught this 42″ long, 35 pound Bull Redfish a couple of weeks ago. He was fishing with his brother Charles (aka “Bubba”) and best friend Randal Fuller about 2 1/2 miles from the Mansfield Jetties in a spot his brother called “The Shell Bank.”
