A picture of my son’s first bobcat. We set up on a Saturday afternoon with his new predator call he got for Christmas.
We set up the decoy and call about 50yds from the blind, started to call. About 5 minutes of calling a nice cat showed up about 300yds heading down the sendero towards the decoy/call.
My son was ready and I was ranging the distance. The cat stopped about 150yds out, paused, then headed into the brush. We waited patiently for the cat to reappear.
My son and I were scanning the edge of the brush. About 2 minutes later I glanced down and the cat was 20yds from the blind. It had circled around the decoy and was 30yds behind. I motioned to my son and he got his first bobcat! It was a great hunt.
