He is a true believer and now that the health care nightmare has passed Congress the gloves are off for him to pay back political favors to his leftist supporters.
What do I mean?
Well, he admitted recently in an interview he did not mind being a one term president. He and the Democrats knew going into this weekend’s vote that passing health care will most likely mean a Republican victory in the mid-terms and his loss in 2012.
Actually I wouldn’t be surprised if Hillary Clinton jumps ship and runs against him in the primaries. That’s another story for another day and probably not an outdoors blog.
With all of that said, expect some executive orders to be signed creating huge no fishing zones in the Gulf, Pacific and Atlantic and restrictions on hunting and trapping on federally controlled land.
I also would not be surprised to see this Congress put in some extreme environmental bills before the fall recess. They do not have to have one single Republican on board to enact anything as this health care bill proved and with many likely lame ducks in office, they have nothing to lose.
I have always been scared of what Obama, Pelosi and Reid would do unrestricted so to speak and we might just see that in the coming months.
