The Texas Fish & Game crew made it to Las Vegas this afternoon a day ahead of ICAST, the world’s largest sportfishing trade show.

ere every year to do business and as excutive editor the goal is to learn about the latest products that benefit the anglers in Texas. TF&G publisher Roy Neves and I walked over to the new product shwocase which is open the night before the opener and did a few short video segments that will be up any time now at fishgame.com.
We also met up with TF&G contributors Calixto Gonzalez and Greg Berlocher and talked new tackle and about where we see the show and industry going this year.
Beginning tomorrow I will be posting tons of videos and links to the videos Roy is editing. Expect cool stuff and expect it to be on product Texa anglers can use.
Whether it’s swimbaits for bass anglers, topwaters for trout or spoons for snapper we’ll have it covered from every possible angle.
It is inspiring for someone who grew up with such a passion for the outdoors to be in a position to get to check out all this gear and report it to you. I consider it an honor and give you my word I will do my best to scour the show for product that can give you an edge on fishing.
If I ever lose that feeling it is time to find a new profession. However, I do not see that happening any time soon.
