I’ve been wanting to try these for a while and finally bit the bullet and bought some. The NAP Quikfletch vane systems makes it possible for those of us without fletching jigs, or mechanical aptitude, to put new fletching on our arrows without going ot the local archery shop. Here’s how it’s done, and a few shots to see if they really work.
The product, NAP Quikfletch Twister Vanes, promises installation in five minutes and tighter groups.
The hardest part of the whole process was taking the old four inch vanes off the arrows. After that, slide the new vane system (with two in vanes) on the bare arrow shaft.
Dip the arrow in boiling water for 10 seconds
Remove and let dry
The arrows were ready to use almost immediately and while I didn’t take measurements of the groups before and after installation I can say that the accuracy wasn’t hurt in any way.
