Anyone seen a cougar or “black panther” recently?

This jaguar exhibits melanism, which is essentially the reverse of albinism and creates a striking looking animal. The spots of these cats are visible in certain light but in others is totally invisible giving the cats a straight black appearance.

I am working on a new project involving big cats and would like to talk with eyewitnesses who might have seen cougars or cats often described as “black panthers”?
