If you can’t have fun hog hunting, you’re weird!
Well, that is if you like to hunt to begin with. Hog hunting offers so much excitement and wonderful yields of meat that I cannot imagine someone not taking a shine to it.
At first day one of the Texas Fish & Game Hog Wild Week looked like it was going to not be so good. We had a helicopter hunt planned but the wind was too high.
So, instead our newfound friend Jim Bob from the JB Hunting Ranch in Matagorda County offered to take TF&G blogger/columnist Dustin Ellermann and I along with TF&G Publisher Roy Neves (who was filming) for some hog stalking action.
And it went incredibly well!

Expect some cool surprises later in the week.
Until then check it out…

Dustin shot the big hog of the day. I can’t figure out if it looks more like a werewolf or a hog.
