Just got back from a fun fishing trip with my buddy Darren Gardner, his daughter Chelsea, son Seth and brother Alvin.
In a way this was sort of an historical trip as I don’t think I or anyone else with me has ever been out-fished at such a high ratio. I caught like two fish and Chelsea caught over 20.
I think Darren caught two and Alvin a handful.
Seth caught one and was on full time crab patrol bringing in several nice ones and he also did a fine job of throwing the cast net.
But that doesn’t hide the fact his sister whipped us all by catching nearly two dozen gafftops, croaker, hardheads and a piggy perch.
We could blame it her being in the best spot or us spending time helping her get the catfish off the hook but the bottom line is she caught three times what we caught combined.
No excuses. This girl can fish.
Sometimes I guess girl power is more than enough to get the job done.
Fun times even if I did just get schooled by a girl on the vocation that provides my income.
Gotta love it.
