An easy cure for Fire Ant stings

This weekend I was working in my garden and stuck my hand into a fire ant mound. After dancing around trying to free myself from the stinging herd that quickly covered my hand I was standing there wondering what to do. Normally in the past, I would just get back to what I was doing and wait for a day or two for each bite to fester up and create inflamed welps  which had to be drained before healing. Today was different, I was standing close to an Aloe Vera plant, and I broke off part of a piece, and rubbed the gooey liquid all over the affected areas of my hand. To my surprise, the stinging stopped in a few minutes and my stings were gone. Wow, if you live in Houston, or anywhere in Texas you know how much the sting hurts, this is a great cure. I hope you have an aloe plant, and if you don’t I suggest you get one. They are very easy to grow and are wonderful for sunburn too!
