Stir Fried Green Beans

When my kids were small, they didn’t care for green beans or many other vegetables so I developed this version in a way I knew they would at least try them.( Come on , who doesn’t like bacon)  They can’t get enough of them now and I bet your crew will love them as well!

1- 1/2 to 2lbs. fresh green beans, rinsed, trimmed at the top, and cut in half, then steamed for 8 to 10 minutes, then plunged into a cold water bath to stop the cooking and set aside, or may be stored in a large baggie in the refrigerator for later preparation

6 slices of baconfried crisp and set onto paper towels to strain until cooled, then chopped into 1/2 inch pieces

½-  white onion, chopped fine

3 cloves fresh garlic- minced

½-  teaspoon Texas Gourmet’s Sweet Chipotle Season-All

1 stick – unsalted butter

Preparation-

Heat  butter to med. heat and cook until the bubbles stop, add onion, saute until clear , then add the green beans, increase heat to med. high, and stir fry to coat them with the butter, now add the minced garlic , toss for approx. 1 to 2 minutes gently, add the bacon and toss again, now add the Sweet Chipotle Season All, and toss one more time .

Serve with your favorite dish!
