Crazy Cool Gadgets from the Miami Boat Show: Garmin, Furuno, and DeLorme, Oh My!
The Miami boat show was a blast, and as usual, we saw a whole new crop of crazy cool gadgets from the likes of Garmin, Furuno, and DeLorme, among others. Of course, there were lots of other cool intros beyond electronics: new boats, boating gear, lifts, fishing gear, and more. But since everyone's treading like crazy when trying to keep up to date on what's hot and new in marine electronics, let's start there.

What I'm Using Right Now
Anytime you see a picture of a fish what are the first two questions you ask the angler? Where did you catch it? What were you using? While most of the time the angler will give you an answer to both, you always have an uneasy feeling that their not telling you the truth because, well, fishermen are prone to fibbing.

Toyota to create more manufacturing jobs in Indiana
While some folks continue to grumble about the bailout of the auto industry (specifically Chrysler and GM), this manufacturing segment continues to add jobs to the manufacturing landscape at an unequalled pace.

Father Shooting Daughters Laptop Goes Viral [Video]
A father recently posted a video where he disciplined his daughter for her disrespectful Facebook posts by emptying his 1911 pistol into her laptop. This video instantly went viral, probably for the most part is because of the "shooting". Do you think if the father had taken an 8lb sledge hammer to the computer (which honestly would have caused more damage than a few holes) that the video would have hit over 22,000,000 views? Interesting isn't it? What are your thoughts?

An easy cure for Fire Ant stings
This weekend I was working in my garden and stuck my hand into a fire ant mound. After dancing around trying to free myself from the stinging herd that quickly covered my hand I was standing there wondering what to do. Normally in the past, I would just get back to what I was doing and wait for a day or two for each bite to fester up and create inflamed welps which had to be drained before healing. Today was different, I was standing close to an Aloe Vera plant, and I broke off part of a piece, and rubbed the gooey liquid all over the affected areas of my hand. To my surprise, the stinging stopped in a few minutes and my stings were gone. Wow, if you live in Houston, or anywhere in Texas you know how much the sting hurts, this is a great cure. I hope you have an aloe plant, and if you don't I suggest you get one. They are very easy to grow and are wonderful for sunburn too!. . .
